Growing up Part One

In the last blog I showed some photos of the grandchildren growing up. For this blog I thought to show the childhood photos of my two children. The photographs were generally not of good quality. I liked to blame it on the films and the bulky cameras (not fully automatic) but in reality the photographic skills of yours truly probably left much to be desired as well.
The other limitation was that I didn't seem to have the printed photos (when digital was still foreign) beyond 1997. Even when we acquired a digital in 2002, the copies seemed to be misplaced. It was not until the 2011 decade when phone cameras became common that I started having my photo collection again.
That was the reason the photos stopped at 1997. We shall see if those missing photos will surface in the future.  Since there were quite a number of photos even to 1997, I shall post in 2 parts

Introduction

I always thought blogging is for the birds. But then the other day, one of my grandchildren SX, was asking why Gong Gong and Po Po don't have a blog like her Mummy, her Ah Koo and her eldest cousin. That innocent question  from a seven year old set me thinking. Why not? So with time on hand and grandchildren as subject matter to work on, here I am trying to put some thoughts and observations in writing. If they do sound like rambling of an old man they probably are.
For a start this the whole gang taken at PoPo's birthday in Sept 2018.

Practically every Sunday the whole lot will converge at our house and the decibel definitely shot up. Coincidentally  the two closest neighbours have their doors closed.
the scene reminded me of the movie Home Alone where in the confusion of everyone talking at once, the little kid was left behind.
Kids will be kids. When they left the house, it was messier than when they came despite the parents telling them to pack up.
To round this first blog, I attached photos showing the 7 children year by year
